Post-Procedure Instructions

Botox & Wrinkle Relaxers

​

First 4 hours:

  • Remain upright

  • Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area

  • No hats or headbands if forehead was treated

First 24 hours:

  • Avoid exercise, alcohol, and makeup on treated area

  • Skip facials or massages

Expected:

  • Minor redness or swelling at injection site

  • Results begin in 3–5 days; full effect at 14 days

Dermal Fillers

​

First 24 hours:

  • Avoid alcohol, heavy exercise, and excessive sun/heat

  • Do not massage or apply pressure to the area unless instructed

General Tips:

  • Swelling and bruising are common and temporary

  • Ice gently (wrapped, not direct) for 10 minutes at a time

  • Sleep with head elevated

Results:

  • Immediate volume, best visible after swelling resolves (1–2 weeks)

Lip Fillers

Follow all dermal filler instructions above, plus:

  • Avoid drinking through straws or kissing for 24 hours

  • Swelling may be more pronounced; cold compresses can help

  • Arnica gel may reduce bruising

Thread Lifts (PDO)

​

First 48 hours:

  • Limit facial movements, avoid smiling wide or yawning excessively

  • Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach

First 7 days:

  • No vigorous exercise, facial treatments, or dental visits

  • Use extra caution when cleansing or applying skincare

Expected:

  • Mild tightness, swelling, or dimpling at entry points

  • Threads settle into place over 2–3 weeks

French Lift®

First 5 days:

  • Keep facial movements minimal

  • Sleep on your back with head elevated

First 7–10 days:

  • Avoid dental appointments, facials, and massage

  • Do not apply pressure to temples or lift cheeks forcefully

Expected:

  • Skin puckering or pulling at entry points is temporary

  • Final results develop gradually over 2–4 weeks

  • Temporary tightness and asymmetry are common during healing

Neck Lift

First 72 hours:

  • Keep head elevated, avoid turning the neck quickly

  • Limit talking and neck movement when possible

First 7–10 days:

  • Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach

  • No massage, facial treatments, or vigorous activity

Expected:

  • Mild swelling, tightness, or bruising

  • Threads will settle as swelling decreases over 2–3 weeks

Radiesse Nonsurgical BBL

​

First 48 hours:

  • Avoid sitting directly on treated area; use a cushion when necessary

  • No exercise, sun exposure, or hot environments (baths, saunas)

First 7 days:

  • Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the area

  • Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid compression

Expected:

  • Mild soreness or swelling is normal

  • Results improve gradually over 4–6 weeks as collagen builds

  • Best results seen after full treatment series (2–3 sessions)

BBL™ Laser Photofacial

Immediately after:

  • Mild redness or warmth is normal

  • Brown spots may darken before flaking off over 7–10 days

First 48 hours:

  • Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer

  • Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily

  • No picking or exfoliating treated areas

Enhance Results:

  • Follow a consistent skincare routine with medical-grade products

  • Consider a series of 3–5 treatments for best results

CO2 Laser Resurfacing

Immediately After Treatment (Day 0–1)

  • Expect redness, heat, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation for 24–48 hours.

  • Keep skin continuously moisturized with the recommended occlusive (Aquaphor, Stratacell, or as instructed).

  • Avoid touching the treated area unless applying product.

  • No ice packs directly on skin (can delay the healing response).

  • Do not pick, rub, or scratch at peeling or crusting.

Cleansing Routine

Start 24 hours after treatment (or as directed):

  • Cleanse gently with a mild, non-foaming cleanser using clean hands.

  • Pat dry—do not rub.

  • Reapply the recommended healing ointment immediately after cleansing.

Moisturizing + Healing Phase (Days 1–7)

  • Keep the skin continuously hydrated with your post-laser balm/ointment.

  • If instructed, begin using a vinegar soak 2–4 times daily to reduce heat and bacteria:

    • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

    • 1 cup of cooled, boiled water

    • Apply using gauze, gently press to skin, then moisturize.

  • Avoid all active ingredients:

    • Retinol / Retinoids

    • Vitamin C

    • Glycolic / Salicylic acids

    • Benzoyl peroxide

    • Scrubs or exfoliants

Sun Protection

  • Absolutely no direct sun exposure until skin is fully healed.

  • Once the skin has closed (usually ~5–7 days), apply a physical sunscreen only (Zinc Oxide/Titanium Dioxide).

  • Wear a wide-brim hat when outdoors.

Makeup

  • No makeup until skin has fully re-epithelialized (typically 7–10 days, depending on depth).

  • When resumed, use clean brushes/sponges and non-comedogenic formulas.

Activity Restrictions

Avoid for 72 hours:

  • Heavy exercise

  • Saunas/steam rooms

  • Hot yoga

  • Swimming

  • Hot tubs

  • Alcohol (may increase facial flushing)

Normal Healing Expectations

You may experience:

  • Redness (7–14 days)

  • Swelling (48–72 hours)

  • Tightness/dryness

  • Peeling or “bronzing”

  • Itching

  • Tiny pinpoint dark spots (“peppering”)

These are normal signs of healing.

Avoid

  • Picking or peeling (can cause scarring)

  • Tanning beds

  • Chemical peels

  • Using unapproved products

  • Pets or dirty bedding near treated areas

  • Smoking (slows healing)

When to Contact Us

Call if you experience:

  • Increasing redness after Day 3

  • Yellow drainage or foul odor

  • Fever or chills

  • Sudden swelling after initial improvement

  • Any concerns about healing

RF Microneedling

First 24–48 hours:

  • Redness and warmth are common; use cool packs if needed

  • Avoid sun, heat, sweating, and makeup

Skin Care:

  • Use gentle cleanser and hydrating serum for 3–5 days

  • Resume active products (retinoids, acids) only after skin fully recovers

Results:

  • Skin texture and tightness improve over 4–6 weeks

  • Best outcomes after a series of sessions

First 24 hours:

Expected:

  • Hair growth improvements are gradual over 3–6 months

HydraFacial®

 

Post-Treatment:

  • Do not apply makeup for 12 hours

  • Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), or active ingredients for 48 hours

  • Avoid excessive heat (sauna, hot yoga, steam rooms) for 24 hours

  • Use SPF 30+ daily and reapply as needed

  • Avoid aggressive exfoliation or scrubs for 3–5 days

Skin Care:

  • Use a gentle cleanser and hydrating moisturizer

  • Continue daily sunscreen

  • Resume active products gradually after 48 hours unless otherwise instructed

  • Stay well hydrated to support skin barrier recovery

  • Redness similar to a sunburn for 24–72 hours

  • Mild swelling or tightness for 1–3 days

  • Light flaking or rough texture around days 3–5

  • For optimal results, a series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended

  • Do not use retinol, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), benzoyl peroxide, or active products for 5–7 days (or until peeling is complete)

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF 30+ daily

  • Do not pick, peel, or manually remove flaking skin

Skin Care:

  • Use a gentle cleanser only

  • Apply a hydrating, barrier-support moisturizer multiple times daily

  • Use broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning

  • Keep skin well moisturized during the peeling phase

  • Resume active skincare only after peeling has resolved and as directed

Expected:

  • Tightness or mild redness for 1–3 days

  • Peeling typically begins around days 2–3

  • Flaking may continue for 3–7 days depending on peel depth

  • Temporary darkening of pigment may occur before improvement

  • Brighter, smoother skin appears once peeling resolves

  • For best results, a series may be recommended based on your skin condition

ZO® 3 Step Peel

 

Post-Treatment:

  • Do not wash the face for at least 5 hours (or as instructed)

  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours

  • Avoid exercise, sweating, heat exposure, and steam for 48 hours

  • Do not use retinol, exfoliating acids, scrubs, or active products unless specifically instructed

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF 30+ daily

  • Do not pick, peel, or manually remove flaking skin

Skin Care:

  • Follow your customized ZO protocol as directed

  • Use gentle cleanser only

  • Apply hydrating + barrier-support products as instructed

  • Keep skin moisturized throughout the peeling phase

  • Strict daily sunscreen use is mandatory

  • Resume full active regimen only after peeling has resolved and per provider guidance

Expected:

  • Redness and tightness for 1–3 days

  • Peeling typically begins around days 2–3

  • Moderate flaking or sheet peeling for 3–7 days

  • Temporary dryness, itching, or sensitivity

  • Brighter, firmer, more even skin tone once peeling resolves

  • Pigment improvement and texture refinement continue over several weeks
